Repertory of Nuns' Writing in the Age of the Counter-Reformation

The Project

This repertory is a tool for research, preservation, and dissemination devoted to all the writings produced by nuns in the French-speaking world during the Counter-Reformation. It builds on an initial editorial milestone — The Writing of Nuns: Repertory of Personal Texts in French in the Age of the Counter-Reformation — conceived and published in 2019 by a smaller research team.

This new online repertory is no longer limited to personal writings alone; it includes every form of women's monastic writing. PRIN 2022 makes it possible to extend the inquiry to all types of texts, broaden the mapping of genres and media, and improve data interoperability within an open platform.
